fall festivities with gpa richards

It cannot be said enough how much I love Fall.  The cooler weather/cute cozy clothes, changing weather/storms, football, halloween, festivals, yummy foods etc.  So we noticed that this Jaker's Pumpkin Patch was opened up on the corner of our neighborhood.  It was a sign of how cool it is because we frequently call Jake: Jakerbreaker for some reason-not sure how it started, but we do.

So we went there to show Grandpa yesterday for Family Night.  They have a fun hay maze (one for adults and one for lil kids that's like 2 feet high), a corn pit and fun slides to go down into it, and a petting zoo-all free.  And of course, pumpkins.  The prices were pretty comparable to what I've seen around.

Jake loved touching the pumpkins....and...hitting them too.

what the....

pumpkins!

We were impressed with how much Jake has improved in not being scared of things: loud noises, new things/people etc.  They brought the donkey into the pin and it made a huge hee-haw noise and I looked at Jake waiting for him to freak out, but he didn't.  I think he's getting tougher!

Code said that Jake started clinging to him the second he started down the tube haha but alls well that ends well.

We went through the hay maze.  It's kinda funny how casual they are there-kids climbing up on the hay 10-12 feet in the air, jumping from ledge to ledge etc and no one seems to care-I guess that's the joy of chill rural springville/guess they're not worried about liability?

The next day I took all that fall festiveness and finished our front porch decorations with some spider webs and our lil scarecrow that I bought.  We have some light up skeleton skulls that I want to line our pathway with, but I'm not sure we can make it work with the electrical socket that's out there....oh well.

pretty fall colors

I'm not sure how quickly pumpkins rot out here in dry Utah but we'll wait a week or so before we carve them I guess....One will be a BYU pumpkin and the rest I dunno....
