Sledding!

Well, the day after christmas is even funner than christmas in my book cause things have calmed back down but our new toys/things are still new and exciting and we have all day to play with them :)

Also, we decided to go out and explore/have fun in the fresh snow.  In the park across from our house there's a VERY slight hill perfect for timid two year olds that we tested out.  Grandpa gave Jake a sled for xmas and after we forced him to go down on daddy's lap he was hooked :)

All bundled up!

Gpa, Daddy, and Mommy showing how it's done:

this was him smiling (I know he looks sad)

He even went by himself once and liked it until the landing:

It was a fun day!

Coming down the stairs!

My parents brought my old kitchen play set with them when they drove from Texas-thanks again guys!  And it's crazy how nostalgic I get seeing them again-Jake loves them, also we got him a slide to play with inside since we won't get to play on our playset/ or in the park for a good 4 months :)

This is after Jake warmed up to the slide a bit more:

Here's Jake playing with Grandpa and his Mack:

we had a great Christmas!!!

Christmas 2014

We were so blessed this Christmas.  Jake and I caught a bug that was going around but luckily (unlike last year) we caught it long before christmas so that we were fully recovered and could enjoy christmas this year.  AND Code and Andy did NOT catch it which was a HUGE blessing-I hate it when it goes through the WHOLE family and by the time the last is getting over it, it's mutated enough and you recatch it again.

A few days before christmas we went up to Ogden and were able to spend time with Grandma Browne, Aunt Carolee, and Randy and his family, and they were able to meet Andy in person for the first time :)
Great Gma Browne & Andy:

We also got together with some of my mom's side at cafe rio.  Here's Andy (Gary) Nolden with his Grandpa Gary and Great Grandpa Gary:

Here's Jake imitating my dad's famous whistle:

Two of my brothers and their wives live in the area, and my parents were in town for Andy's blessing which is happening next month so we had a full house for Christmas which is how we like it :)

We played games, watched classics like A Christmas Story, and had fun opening presents and eating good food.
We actually had to wake Jake up cause we were tired of waiting :)  He was a lil cranky at first but forgave us when he saw what was waiting for him! (we have lots of fun videos but they're taking FOREVER to upload so I'll do separate post with videos from Christmas, but luckily I thought to grab our nice camera and take some:

I would say Jake's favorite presents so far are the Woody doll and his Mac truck from cars :)

Olivia enjoyed watched and living through Jake's excitement

a look under the tree:  (there were TONS of presents cause everyone brought their presents to open with them so it took a lil bit to get to some of our own haha)

Gpa Gary held a snoozing Andy pretty much all morning

Jake's lightening Mcqueen slippers that I find SO cute! and basically if he's inside, no matter what time of the day, these are on his feet :)

Uncle Steve and Aunt Rosie and their friend Jeffrey:

These two cuties entertained us all and made everyone's Christmas a lil more magical, yay for cousins! (love Olivia's cute christmas tutu!)

we actually had the experience of going to bed with no snow on the ground and waking up to a white winter wonderland.  Our dog Riley (my only problem child) LOVES the snow.  He bounds through it like crazy but then the fresh powder clings to his long hair in these lil ice balls and the only way to get it out is to put him in the sink and rinse him off with warm water (needless to say he only goes out 2 times a day).  You think he'd  learn not to bound through the snow a ton, but oh well....  We're hoping once it's no longer fresh and gets nice and crunchy/compact after a few days that it won't stick to his hair anymore.
