Georgia Trip

We were lucky and got to visit our family in Georgia in the end of February.  We had lots of fun with our cousins, ate out ENTIRELY too much, and played lots of games.  Jake was probably mostly excited to meet Sophie, the dog, and proceeded to follow her around and "pet" her (it was more like hitting her), but she was patient and learned not to jump up on him by the end.  This will be mostly camera overload but it's better than me describing everything.  We had fun walking around in the woods and throwing rocks into the stream behind the house.  Grandpa Frank had just had surgery before we got there but was determined to hold Jake as much as possible with a little help, and Jake didn't mind one bit.  Jake quickly learned that Grandpa Frank is fun and funny; they were two peas in a pod.
When we first got into town we stopped by a baseball scrimmage to see Grandpa and Uncle Don.  Jake especially liked the baseballs and throwing them.  Just after these pics/video is when Jake slipped on the sandy concrete and banged his head for the first time on this trip.  (we were a lil prone to accidents on this trip: tripped on a rug, stepped on a ball and then quickly learned why it's not smart to step on a ball).  But ya know, it's not fun unless you have some bruises to show for it right?)

Jake was pretty nervous at first but thanks to the ipad, cars, and noise canceling headphones we made it there without really annoying anyone :) Victory!

layover in FREEZING Denver:

They actually had to de-ice the plane, I couldn't believe we took off in that weather but it's Denver...guess they're used to it cause they acted like it was no big deal.

Baseball with Grandpa Frank:

snuggle time with aunt ashley

walkin' with Grandpa Frank and his gimpy arm

the Georgia Woods-they feel really old, like they haven't changed much.  I could easily pretend that I'm in the deep south during the civil war or something.

I have a thing for trees/roots/moss so be patient with me....

more to come....
