Love is dancing in the park flash mob style and communing with animated woodland creatures. Hopefully every now and then we feel like this- I know my code makes me feel like this every day, but I'm not as cool as Joseph Gordon-Levitt (not many are) so moving on...
So our front room is finally put together and pretty much done (other than collecting things to put on our second book case). And, since it's the only room that has Vday decor let's take a look:
Our chairs from Costco came (this is them pre-legs). I love, love, LOVE the leaf design. Not that anyone would notice or care but our pretty frame has vine/leaf/fruit details around it and the painting itself is of a forest theme so I like the different touches throughout the room that echo that.
The chair was basically a fancy toddler chair without the legs and Jake LOVED that he could crawl up no problem.
Ok, moving on. So our couch was from RC Willey and I like the color (which is not as dark as in these photos go fig) as well as the silver stud detail along the sides. Again, something no one else would notice or care about but it's the little things that make me love this room.
The only angle that I could find that gave a feel for the whole front room (minus the book case and window to the left of the grey couch):
and looking across from the grey couch:
and to the right of this entryway table is the front door/foot of the stairs area:
love the rot iron detailing on the stairs
and this is looking towards the front room area from in the tv room. I'll have photos of this room all done hopefully by next month :)
Now for the Valentine's Day decor. I realized that I did not have much in the way of decor, and had I been more on top of things I would have ordered a cuter banner from etsy or something but I just did it myself.
I printed these prints from online and already had the frames.
the candlestick holders are from pier one imports and the candles are from Carolee and Gma Browne :)
I made these cute blocks with the help of a friend back in Texas and love 'em.
That's about as crazy as we get around here for Valentines Day, but I am looking forward to our date tomorrow so more to come on that...
Today for exactly 30 min before Jake's nap it was BEAUTIFUL. The sun came out and it was so warm and clear so I grabbed the camera and Jake practically bowled me over to get outside and play.
basketball!
love this one:
he was mad that I wouldn't let him play in the muddy field. I know, mean mommy.
our backyard is snow-free! It's muddy but it's snow free! I'm sure some more snow will come in a freak march snow storm before winter gives up but I thought it was worth a picture :)
Jake's fav part of the house:
I'm starting to get excited for Spring! I love the changing of the seasons :)
Love it! It's beautiful!
