President's Day

Happy President's Day!  If I had to pick a favorite president based on what I know about them (which is not much) I'd say Lincoln.  Now I'm in the mood to read some good biographies/learn more about American History/different Presidents.  Feel free to make suggestions if you know any good ones!
Well, our President's Day was spent trying to convince Jake that he could, in fact, eat without wining, walk without wining, basically do anything without wining.  Teething is hard.  This weekend has been a little rough as far as Jake's concerned, but bless tylenol. :)

We went to the park earlier in the day for a bit.  There were a few other families out and about enjoying the not rainy/snowy weather.  It seems about this time of year people aren't very picky with what they term "good weather".  We'll take what we can get at this point.

Sorry, I couldn't pick a favorite between these three so just scroll real fast if you don't like a plethora of photos :)

for some reason his face cracks me up in this one:

I tried to convince Code that Jake doesn't like slides but he thought he could convert him-nope, still doesn't like them...

There's a caterpillar on the sidewalk with all the letters of the alphabet on it, and Jake insists on squatting and touching each letter.  It makes me tired just watching him every time.

pretty mountains:

Later tonight after dinner we had some friends over for some smores and games in our first inaugural use of our fire pit.  It wasn't too cold and any night ending in smores with reese's and roasted starbursts is a good night.

Jake loved snacking on the graham crackers

All and all it was a fun day and we even managed to make it productive too.

Here's a lil computer 101 with code.  I always was curious as to what they did during my sunday nap...

  1. Don't wory ...no amount of pictures is ever too many! I love seeing our cute little Jakester. What a fun FHE. Your friends have such a cute family. It looks like everyone had a great time. It was amazing to see Cody and Jake interacting at the computer though it looked like Jake wasn't much of a fan of the mouse! Jake will be a computer Wiz just like his dad only with Cody's help he'll be writing code by the time he's in kindergarten!
