Update on our apartment

So I figured that I would post the latest pics of our apartment so you have a picture in your head when you're wondering about ol' code and whit:

I don't have pictures of the 2nd bedroom/office since it's not much to look at- just our desk/bookshelf on one side and all our random instruments on the other (keyboard, guitars, flute). 

This week I'm trying the whole plan ahead a week's worth of meals and shop for all the groceries at once method.  We'll see how it goes...it's painful cause I don't particularly like putting a lot of energy into planning ahead for things, but it may pay for itself when  I don't have to wonder what to make for dinner at 4 pm every day.  I was trying to find this today:

 

there was a recipe on ourbestbites.com for a thai curry dish that is similar to noodles and co. that required this sauce.  Sigh....knowing that driving around to every random asian market in houston would leave me drained and in a horrible mood, I decided to call ahead to see if they had it.  The first one answered, I asked, they checked, they said no-not hard.  Every single one after that was full of: "WHAAA?'s" and incoherent babblings.  I pretty much hung up on everyone fighting the urge to ask: "do you understand english?!" hmm...maybe I'll have to put this recipe on the backburner until I can order it from online or something...
