Just Breathe

So... sorry I have been so bad at keeping this thing updated lately.  Ever since I started my job my priorities have changed when I get home: I take off my shoes, eat dinner with code and then we relax, go on a walk, etc.  with the few hours left to us before we go to bed so blogging just isn't on top of my list always-though I always think about things I want to write about.  And for some reason now I get the blogging bug-15 minutes before I need to leave for work so go figure.

I am working in the three year old room with 12 3 yr-olds who are not really potty trained.  Yeah....fun.  It's been ok though.  you really learn to love and learn their different little personalities and rejoice in the small acheivements throughout the day.

Today I wanted to write about the impact that we can have on each other when we are aware and involved with our environement/surroundings.  So I went to Kroger today and went to park in a spot but a cart was in the way.  I parked the car and got out to move it when a car behind me started to honk.  I just went on doing my own little thing when two girls who were walking by started motioning to the car/half yelling that I was moving a cart and not to honk at me but go around.  Did they need to say anything?  no, but it made my day that someone cared enough to stick up for me-especially when they didn't have to.  I smiled and said thanks.

It just makes me realize how much more of an impact I could have if I would be more actively involved with my surroundings-if I would notice moments to help like that and the people who would appreciate it.
