For those of you who either didn't know or forgot, we induced with Jake since his due date fell right in the middle of when my parents were going to go get my brother Steve from his mission. It being my first and all, I really wanted my mom there/ nearby so we induced a week/week and a half early. I will admit it was surreal driving to the hospital not having contractions etc but knowing that we were going to have a baby. But it sure was nice knowing when it was coming.
Oh well, and all during the induction I never really felt my contractions. I couldn't tell you when they were happening. My back was killing me worse and worse the whole time but I didn't really notice contractions so I'm nervous that I won't feel my contractions/know when to go to the hospital this time around haha. Though there was one night awhile ago that I think I was feeling my belly get tighter etc so maybe those were braxton hicks? I just sort of feel like this time around I feel like it's my first time again cause I've never gone into labor naturally so I don't know if my body will be fast at it or if it'll take longer cause it's never done it on its own etc....
Either way, I know we are surrounded with awesome loving neighbors, friends, and some family who are willing to help out at a moment's notice which is nice. The only tricky thing is that we have Jake with his whole allergy thing that most people aren't used to dealing with. Makes it slightly more complicated-can't just drop him off anywhere and say "give him whatever, he'll be fine" (tho I WISH I could be that care-free flexible parent ;) I'm sure it'll all work out just fine though. We've already worked out/arranged contingency plans so that helps me feel a lot calmer :) Hopefully our lil guy will wait til my parents are in town so there will be a lot stress involved, but if not we'll deal. Nov 21st is coming fast!
All that being said, I really hope that I don't go over the due date cause I really don't think that my stomach can expand any further.

Feeding the ducks this past Monday. I was bummed that there weren't more of them-the last time we went they were out of control everywhere and really aggressive/unafraid of you. They were walking all over our feet! But I guess that crowd flew south for the winter :) The only sad thing about fall/winter is Cody has to get home earlier than normal/we have to scarf dinner/ and run out the door just to have enough daylight to do something fun-sigh, maybe we should just embrace the darkness and still go on walks etc...
