Jake's Halloween Party

Well we had tons of fun with some of our local toddler friends and their moms :)  We played some games, painted some pumpkins, had a spooky story time and then had lunch.  We had two Elsas, a fireman, a pirate, buzz lightyear, a green monster turned skeleton ;), a purple princess, and a cowgirl.  The kiddos were so cute!  Luckily, we had forced Jake into his costume days ahead of time so he could get used to it/get over his fear of it.

We had a Pumpkin bean bag toss:

Your typical fishing game turned spooky: Grave Digger.  Yeah, the shovels fell off their lil sticks instantly but the kids seemed to like it :)

Pumpkin Punch thanks to Pinterest-who knew tissue paper could be so hard to punch through:

stick the face on the jack-o-lantern:

We also had a lil cake walk to spooky music sans cakes with masks:

We read some of my favorite halloween books: the Halloweener and Go Away Monster!

love how these pics capture all their cute energy:

Of course Jake wouldn't wear his mask:

It was lots of fun!

Later that night we had our ward's annual trunk or treat:

Friday night Code and I went to the Desert Star Dinner Theatre for "Dracula, he's so vein."  It was pretty cheesy but fun and festive:

Our Pumpkins for this year:

We can't wait til Friday! Jake will have a halloween party at his toddler group and, of course, our trick or treating. More to come!
