Atlanta trip pt 2!

After we got back from the airport we put jake to bed and settled in to watch the BYU Gonzaga game which was of course awful.  Can I just say, that guy who had "the perfect game" needs to cut his hair-he looks like a girl, and his constant pulling his hair back behind his ears like a girl didn't help.  Anywho, the next day we slept in and Frank had taken that day and monday off work so the four of us went to Shane's ribshack-one of our favorites in the area.

I love jake's face in this pic!  It's his classic old man face and it always cracks me up.
Later in the day the kids started coming home from school but we didn't spend a ton of time with them before the four of us headed out for our traditional date night together while the kids watched Jake.  We went to this cute lil thai and sushi place.  The building was way cool-reminded me a gingerbread house really.

After dinner we stopped by a local outdoor ice rink that Mikayla works at.

After we were done embarrassing her we had some time to kill before our movie so we walked around the shopping mall near the theatre.  We stopped in a music store to get some reeds for Ashley and we found these cute instrument ornaments for half off so I got a flute :) (played it in high school).  Then we stopped by Kohl's and again we found some cool dr. suess books for 5 bucks so we got the classic Cat in the Hat and a Bedtime book.  We really are a sucker for books.  We saw Parental Guidance starring Billy Crystal and Bette Midler.  It was a cute movie and fun cause it was set in Atlanta.  Though I have to say all I could think was Hocus Pocus the whole time haha but it was fun to see Billy Crystal in something again.

It was a great date night and Jake was able to go to bed no problem.
