I have been remiss of late...

I know...I've been bad.  But in my defense I haven't blogged in awhile cause we are very close to receiving some highly bloggable information so I figured I'd wait and blog then, but the bloggable information is taking forever so consider this a filler post.

Things that make me happy of late:

-The BYU bball team is starting to get into a groove-and for once we've gotten good at coming back from being behind in the second half which is always a good skill to have.

-I've been watching the X-files on netflix.  As a kid I'd watch them sporadically whenever my older brothers happened to be watching them.  I liked them for 3 reasons: I kinda like paranormally/spooky stuff (not in a "ghost hunters" kind of a way but in a goosebumps and are you afraid of the dark kind of way)  (Though I have to admit I liked the earlier seasons of ghost hunters back when they were seriously trying to debunk the calls they got before they sold out and became gimicky) (ok, enough of the parenthesis).  so, back to what I was saying: I liked spooky stuff, I loved the special feeling that accompanied staying up late (when I knew I should be in bed), and I had a major crush on David Duchovny (I know, smart kid).  And 18 years later...I'd say all three are still true....though now I watch them in the day thanks to the beauty of Netflix.  It's cool cause I've never watched them in order before so I can finally start to get the over arching themes.  I must say the end of season 4-to the beginning of season 5 is pretty insane.

-We've been getting a lot of rain lately which I love (though rain is less fun when you can't go out and have fun in it for fear your baby will get cold/sick/etc)

-Code surprised me by buying the 3rd season of Downton Abbey on itunes so we'll get all the episodes by the end of the month-before they even air.  We've watched the first episode and it's still as good as ever (though I didn't care for Mary's wedding dress-blah she's wearing a pillow case attached to a sheet).

-Code surprised me again last night by trying to get out on our balcony (relax, through the door like a normal person) in his sleep.  I woke up freaking out cause it sounded like someone was trying to get in but once I noticed code wasn't in bed I realized what was up.  He hasn't really slept walked in awhile and it takes me back to our early married days when he'd rearrange our furniture for the queen....he's very accommodating in his sleep.

-this lil guy :)

who we think has been teething off and on lately but even so has been pretty happy still...just needy

We've been working on sitting up which he can do if he's perfectly balanced for a lil bit before slowly leaning to one side and toppling over.

We're excited to go visit our family in GA at the end of the month for Shayne's birthday!  They haven't seen him since his baby blessing so he's grown up a lot.

yup, life is pretty good at this point, and it's only getting better I can feel it, so stay tuned sports fans

  1. haha this is so awesome! I got Heidi season 1 and 2 of Downton for Christmas so we can watch them (don't spoil anything!) and it just so happens that at the end I was like "this theme song reminds me of the theme from the x-files". Check it out, there are totally similarities! and of course, Go Cougars! (not sure if you care, but BYU Rugby beat Utah today!)
