I love those Hazy, crazy, lazy days of summer...

Summer is definitely upon us and we’re loving it!  I’d say the chill/quiet part of our summer is just about over.
In a few days we'll be hanging out and partying with our good friends the Engstroms who are in town-I can't wait!!! We haven't seen each other for over a year and both have had our first kids so it'll be fun to officially meet their lil guy and I hope that he and Jake become instant friends.

Then right after they leave next week we are picking up our sisters from the airport-Mikayla who is staying with some family nearby and Megan who is about to start BYU! I'm so excited for her and can't wait to help her get her books, find her classes, etc etc.  All the fun with none of the stress (for me that is haha).  Meg will be with us for a week or two til her term starts.

Then a week after that the rest of our Georgia family will come to spend time with us as well as go to a family reunion in Monticello.

Then we'll have a lil break where we'll just chill and enjoy an extra long weekend of the 4th.

Then a week or two after that my family will be coming out for a family reunion at bear lake and right after that is Jake's 1st birthday.

That will pretty much take us up to August.  See?  I told ya-jam-packed.
With all of our guests in the oncoming months it kinda makes me wanna finish putting the finishing touches to our home...I mean, it's mostly done but there's decorative things/pictures that I haven't put up and I really want to put up curtains to give more color/finished look to a few rooms.  If only my beloved entertainment center were available...our dvd towers/piles look so crummy :(  If nothing else, I'd really like some sort of storage in the family room so our toys aren't all lined up against the wall.

I did plant my daisy plants in our front flowerbed with the help of my trusty neighbor Laurel and her watering crew Knox and Lincoln (they LOVE to water my plants and whenever they see me outside they offer haha).  As well as a lil DIY flower pot on our front porch with my forget-me-nots.  I have no idea if they'll grow any flowers but I sure hope so...

And in other fun and exciting news Jake is starting to honest-to-goodness crawl up on his knees.  It's about 50% of the time now.  Sometimes he overextends and then switches to his army crawl on his tummy but he's def getting better which is fun to see.  I'll try to get a video of it but everytime we try to film it he slumps on his tummy and gives up.
