Ra. ra. ra-ra-ra!

Yes we have another cougar in our midst- Megan Searles!  This past week Megan and Mikayla came to visit.  Mikayla was on her way to Monticello to spend time with the Slades but Megan hung out with us and then we got her settled in for summer term at BYU.
Liz came down from ogden to say hey:

One excellent thing about Megan is her love of cooking and all things SINFULLY yummy.  Here are some cinnamon roll-pancakes with cream cheese frosting.  Yes. SINFUL.

Then it was off to BYU to show her around a bit.  Here's a jamba juice on campus that she hopes to get a job at.

I came down Saturday morning to find a lil computer club going on in the kitchen.

We hiked up to Bridal Veil Falls-a classic for any provo-ite.

jake waving at some hikers passing by

jake thinks its' soo funny when we make him dance.

The local farm with llamas was a must once Megan was here.

this cow had the BIGGEST tongue!

sadly the llamas were aloof today.

Our father's day started off with a bang.  I got up and cooked up some bacon, sausage, potatoes and tortillas for breakfast tacos-cause nothing says I love you dad more than a heart attack before 9 am :)

Before Code even had a bite of his Father's day bfast he was puttying up some cracks in the molding of our guest bath cause I had started to find ants in there (a problem we are still dealing with) what a true dad!

Jakes' first hugs of the day are the best-it's the greatest feeling when they're so excited to see you.

ooo...here dad, let me help you with that...

I got code some books to read with jake about fathers and sons.

made a shirt with jake's handprints and feet that says hands down best dad.

code's old less than jake shirt was all hole-y so I found another one on ebay though it's too big...but the thought was there...

we also got him a book by the honest toddler (a funny account on twitter) all about advice to parents from a toddler's perspective.

Then it was back to BYU to see if Megan remembered where her classes were.  She did great and is totally ready to start on Monday.  She's staying in the new fancy heritage halls.

 chilling with brigham
her first class!

Jake was getting pretty tired/hot

megan outside the JFSB *sniff sniff* my building once upon a time...

they're putting in a chick-fil-a in the cougar eat.  I know.  It's not fair.  They never had anything good while I was there-it'll def put that grill place out of business tho haha.

Unfortunately I seem to have caught jake's cold from last week so I was not in the mood to keep up with him:

I love this-kids are many things but subtle is not one of them.

he's started sticking his tongue out a lot when he's excited.

a game of stratego with Megan.

we visited Code at his work for lunch-apparently they got a new catering company that's way better.  One of the owners was there checking out the new food and poured Megan some fry sauce-Code was excited by this haha.  Here's Jake chowing down on a pickle-he looks in pain and yet he kept eating-shrug.

Thanks to Megan we were able to go to the temple again!  We really need to get better at finding a local baby sitter and going more often.

Jake has been pulling himself up and standing a lot more now that we have a bench/foot rest thing.

he also enjoys chewing on ANYTHING so watch out!

Our family from Georgia is now in town so be prepared for more pictures to come.
